Chief Executive IC24
Yvonne Taylor became Chief Executive Officer at IC24 on 4th January 2016. She has a wealth of experience managing NHS health and social care services both in her most recent role as Chief Operating Officer but also as Divisional Director for Children and Families Services at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust where she worked from 2006. Prior to working for Oxford Health, she worked as a commissioner in Oxfordshire so she understands the NHS and Social Care System from both the perspective of a provider and a commissioner.
Yvonne’s work over the past three years has been focused on the development of partnerships and alliances across acute, community, primary and voluntary services to deliver joined up care to improve outcomes for patients and their carers. Examples include the development of outcome-based commissioning for adult mental health services in partnership with 5 voluntary sector organisations; development of ambulatory care for frail older people in partnership with Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT through Emergency Multi-Disciplinary Assessment Units; a high quality, state of the art specialist inpatient unit providing treatment for children and young people suffering from serious mental health conditions.
Yvonne is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Reading School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences, where she has led one of the national schemes to train Clinical and Operational leaders providing mental health services to children and young people, which has long been a particular area of interest of hers.
