In a comment piece on A&E services for the Mirror, Justin Madders MP, Labour Shadow Health Minister, has called for the co-location of A&E and GP-led out-of-hours services. Madders argues, “You can’t stop people going to A&E. But if we put the local GPs next to A&E the less seriously ill can go and see a family doctor.” He added the system needs further funding in order to make joined-up services a reality.
