Chief Executive BEDOC
Debbie has worked for a variety of health care providers throughout her career to date. She is a qualified nurse who diversified her experience by becoming a District Nurse. Debbie practiced both in London and Hertfordshire before a house move and children brought her to Bedford.
She undertook a role as a nurse advisor at NHS Direct when it first opened its doors in 2000. From there she became a manger of the service, before moving on to be a service redesign manager at Bedford Hospital. Debbie then took a move away from the NHS into the University of Bedfordshire where she was a senior lecturer teaching post graduate courses for nurses and allied health professionals.
Following a successful completion of a MSc Leadership in Healthcare Practice Debbie chose to return to the coal face of NHS management and spent 3 years managing various community services.
Debbie joined BEDOC in January 2014 and is enjoying her new and challenging role.
